  • I have at least 2 relatives that work at Walmart and they love everything about it. They get great insurance and great retirement benefits due to the stock options they get.

  • A sign of desparation. Many people are feeling desparate. Some people are "making" $180 million per year (see report on big BILLION dollars bonuses paid to Wall Street executives) and the rest of the people are no better off than slaves.

  • One website says that China has 111 males to 100 females at birth and US has 105 males to 100 females at birth. Another website about demographics of US shows that by the age of 25 years old, females outnumber men. At the age of greater than 80, females outnumber men by more than 2 to 1.

  • You only know what is reported in the media about what is happening in China. The imbalance seems to be much smaller than made out to be in the media. I believe the media is not to be believed.

  • But the point is, does this "imbalance" really cause a problem for the Chinese? The "imbalance" is not necessarily a problem even if you state that statistics show the imbalance. The imbalance eventually causes a balance later in life.

  • Many of the children born to deficient families will not be able to provide for themselves or contribute to society because they will not have access to a good education or brilliant minds. Some will but the overwhelming majority will not.
